Should I attend a Bridal Faire?

Because we are promoting (on our budget page) the idea of doing lots of shopping and seeing vendors in ALL price categories, (even if you think they are out of our budget), we highly recommend Bridal Shows and Bridal Faires. These are the best opportunities for you and your fiance (yes, you WILL drag your GROOM to at least ONE bridal faire!) to see many vendors, chat with a few and, most importantly...GET INSPIRED!

What to expect.

Many Bridal Faires are also Bridal Shows, i.e., they have a fashion show of Wedding Dresses and Apparel. To us, this is not as critical as the actual seeing of the many vendors, because most brides have an idea of the dress they want, and have already been to the bridal salon to try them on. Also, many brides will have already purchased their dress. So in essence, you want to go to Bridal Faires and not necessarily the Bridal Show part of the Faire. Tasting is another great benefit of going to the show. Many caterers and cakery's bring their edible goods for display and tasting by the many people who go to the show! 

Talk to many vendors!

Speak to as many vendors as possible. Pick the brain of the person working at the booth. Get as many ideas as possible by asking what other brides are doing. Get as many pamphlets as possible and read the materials at a later date.

Let loose and have some fun!

This is a great opportunity for you to get out and have some fun. If you can't make your groom go (or if you think he might be a killjoy) bring a BM or even go by yourself! There's always plenty of happy people and happy vendors ready to share their experience and knowledge!
