Heartfelt Sweepstakes Entry

Heartfelt Sweepstakes Entry

We just received this heartfelt sweepstakes entry from a bride who sounds incredibly sincere and honest and we wanted to share it with you. We urge our preferred vendors [as well as any other vendors for that matter] that are in a position to help this bride, to please do so. If you are able to help this bride, contact us and we will put you in touch with the bride. My Dream Wedding is what i am most intrested in because I feel like this is something, like most girls, have been planning for their entire life. Now that I have the chance to finally be planning the biggest day of my life I am falling way short of funds. This experience is way more expensive then I would have ever thought of it being. The times are tough for alot of people these days, so I am not expecting a huge, glamours, expensive wedding. I have a dress picked out that is around $275.00 and that is being ordered offline, and is made in China. I have a ring picked out at this point that is about $900.00 and that is our most expensive thing so far. We have chose to have our receptions at a Fair Grounds for $300 dollars. Our Ceremony is probably going to take place at a park because its mos likly free. We have a few locations actually picked out that are very pretty and scenic but they are far to expensive for us. The one is $500 just for ceremony and that does not include fee per chair for rental. The other place is a State park that charges per car entering the park. That can really add up for us. We are coming to the conclusion that we just have to make do with what we have. So I am currently posting on Facebook for people to contact me if they have wedding decor for sale, that way I am doing all my own decorations on used items for either free or cheap. I am a girl who is very strict when it comes to orginization, but I feel i have compleatly lost my ability to be organized with this wedding because we only have so much to spend and everything is so spread out. Even a tent rental, cost $1,400 from one place and thats before table and chair rental also. I mean this is suppose to be the most exciting time of my life, and I am more stressed about money, and trying to make sure everything pans out that I havent had a joyful moment YET! I am tired of TRYING to plan this wedding already with the funds we lack that I dont even know if the wedding will happen on time. We chose October 12th of 2013 because myself and my husband to be, have the same birthday. Our birthday is October 13th. Our theroy behind this date is that at Midnight it turns into our Birthday Bash! We never have all our family together for our birthdays so why not now, when we are celebrating our first birthday as a married couple! Well I have alot more to say but I feel like words cant experss what i need to say so I hope...

Halo engagement rings uniquely designed

Halo engagement rings uniquely designed

Halo engagement rings are stunning pieces with classic style and exceptional sparkle. These uniquely designed rings are a top option when you desire a piece that is different without being too trendy. The halo setting is an intricate design technique where micro-pave diamonds encircle the center stone. The additional diamonds enhance the center stone and make it appear a half-carat larger. The understated bling and unique beauty of halo engagement rings make them a popular choice for everyday brides and celebrities alike. The diamond halo setting is lauded for its versatility, as halo engagement rings look beautiful with several diamond cuts. To create a customized, unique wedding rings, choose diamond cuts that are less common. For example, princess-cut halo designer rings are a great choice due to the center diamond’s square shape. The diamond appears prominent on the finger and the halo provides a beautiful frame for the stone. A princess-cut halo engagement ring can also fit additional side stones, lending the piece greater brilliance. Pear-shaped diamonds will also put a distinctive twist on the halo diamond ring’s design. The stones have a vintage flair that beautifully complements the setting’s classic beauty. Additionally, a pear-shaped halo engagement ring will give the ring an old-world charm that is reminiscent of Victorian-era Europe and Hollywood’s golden age. Whatever diamond cut you choose, the halo engagement ring will make your bride-to-be feel like a princess. Fancy colored diamonds are remarkably beautiful in halo engagement rings. Pink, yellow and black diamonds are dazzling when encircled by colorless stones. The contrast between the diamonds creates a stunning piece that will stand out on her finger. If you want the fancy colored center diamond to appear larger, surround it with diamonds of the same color. Halo designed rings look beautiful with a variety of bands, from simple, polished metals to diamond-studded beauties. A thin band affixed with channel, prong, or pave-set diamonds adds an air of daintiness, and provides a beautiful backdrop for the center stone. A wider band design can be lined with multiple rows of diamonds to create a showy piece. Colorful precious metals will also enhance the band design. Most halo engagement rings are made from platinum or white gold – however, rose gold will give the ring an original flair. A multi-color band will make the center diamond stand out more, as the contrast will highlight the diamond’s shimmering beauty. A rose and white gold band will give your ring fancy elegance, while tri-colored bands featuring a combination of rose, yellow and white gold create the ultimate statement...

Green Wedding Planning

In this modern, eco friendly age and awareness of Global Climate Change, many brides and grooms are looking to GREEN up their wedding. We applaud this effort to save our planet and have created this page to further help those who are looking for green, eco-friendly wedding vendors, providers and professionals who take Global Climate Change, global warming, whatever you want to call it, seriously. This is just the beginning of this page. In the coming months, we will provide a complete list of wedding vendors who are on the green side…eco-chic and eco-friendly. Only wedding vendors who display the utmost seriousness of being environmentally friendly will be offered on this page. GOING GREEN: Going green goes way beyond recycling. However, recycling is a good start for those who are just beginning the process. The process is too extensive to go into detail here, so we will just stick with how going green and being environmentally conscience applies to your wedding and wedding planning. WAYS TO GREEN FOR YOUR WEDDING: We had one bride tell us that for her wedding favors, she had re usable grocery shopping bags made. These bags had the bride and grooms name and wedding date on it. Now everytime a guest goes shopping, they can do their share by cutting down on landfill waste, as well as think of the bride and groom. We had another bride tell us that they gave out a small TREE seed, as a wedding favor. Going green for your wedding also involves using as many renewable materials as possible. We just spoke with one bride who used ELECTRONIC SAVE THE DATES to send to potential guests, family and friends. BOOKS: There are some great books out there now that can aid you in planning a green and eco friendly wedding. contact us if you wish to be listed...

Planning The Perfect Wedding Part One

Planning the Perfect Wedding: Part 1 ~Theme & Vision~ by Rochelle Maze Siena Aline Special Events (415) 624-6383 www.SienaAlineEvents.com “Where do I begin?” is the question I am most often asked of brides beginning the planning process of their wedding. This is, in fact, the most important day in a person’s life, but it doesn’t have to be overwhelming and stress-inducing. How does one plan the perfect wedding and actually enjoy the journey? Here are some tips that will make the process a lot less daunting for you. Before you attempt the search for ceremony and reception locations, or venues, it is important to identify what will make this day unique to you both. Will it be formal, semi-formal or informal? Do you have a particular theme or color combination that speaks to you? What are the different venue types out there that will complete your wedding vision? Wedding themes are an unique to each couple: they stand out and say, “this is a celebration of us and what sets up apart!“ For some, color themes are important: black and white, pink and gold, but for others, a more elaborate theme speaks to them. I once did a wedding with a Madmen television show theme. Here are some examples that may speak to you: • A Midsummer Night’s Dream • Roaring 20’s • Rock & Roll 1950’s • Victorian • Brazilian Carnival • New York • Hawaiian/Luau • Rustic Italian (perfect in Wine Country) • Las Vegas • Harvest A particular theme may not jump out at you right away, and that’s ok! Your inspiration may bloom from visiting a certain venue that fits your style and vision, first. But where to begin…..what types of venues are my style? Below are some examples of different site suggestions, and you may be surprised by how you feel when you’re there, so try several to expand the possibilities available to you. • Art Gallery • Beach • Bed and Breakfast • Country Club • Cruise Ship or Yacht • Farmhouse • Mansion • Museum • Private or Public Garden • Private Home or Estate that can be rented • Hotel • Rooftop Restaurant • Winery The possibilities to create a truly unique and memorable wedding are endless. Hopefully, these ideas are a helpful first step in beginning the planning process. Stay tuned for Part 2 of Planning the Perfect Wedding: How to locate the perfect venue like a...
