Locations in San Francisco to take your wedding photographs.

Many wedding photographs are taken in San Francisco. Many civil weddings at City Hall, many weekday elopement weddings and many traditional Saturday and Sunday weddings. These brides and grooms all take their photos in San Francisco at many of the obvious locations and also some not so obvious.

Where do you take your wedding photographs in San Francisco? The obvious places are Palace of Fine Arts, Legion of Honor, Stow Lake and Japanese Tea Garden both in Golden Gate Park. The not so obvious places would be Union Square, Sutro Baths and Coit Tower. Of course there are many more places you could take your bridal party for photos. Pictured above, historic Sts. Peter and Paul Church Washington Square San Francisco, CA. Many weddings are performed here each year. As many as 3 on any given Saturday in the summer. Brides must book Sts. Peter &  Paul church as much as two years in advance. The Catholic church also requires that this be the 'church that you live in'. If you do not belong to this specific congregation, you may not be able to reserve the church for your wedding day. On a more humorous note, the Catholic Church requires couples getting married to take a marriage counseling class!
