Wedding Planning is arguably the most exciting thing [or the worst thing depending on your perspective] that one can put themselves through in life. Your emotions will run the gamut of absolutely loving wedding planning, to absolutely hating wedding planning, and every emotion in between.
For many brides it’s something they looked forward to for their entire life, while some simply want to get married, without all the pomp and circumstance that weddings certainly are akin to.
Our site is unique as it offers fresh content from local wedding vendors. Please read our multi-ethnic, multi-racial wedding articles, which are very informative and very interesting and not often discussed on mainstream wedding sites. We’re proud to show off some of the Nation’s best wedding photography images, as well some of the best wedding videography by modern cinematographers.

FACTOID: Many wedding consultants got their start after having planned their own wedding….how’s that for ON THE JOB TRAINING!
I SAID YES TO A PROPOSAL, NOW WHAT DO I DO?
Once you get a ring, you need to set a date for your wedding. Brides will have to determine what time of the year for the wedding to take place. Some brides may choose ‘off-peak’ seasons and also choose a weekday or Sunday to get married. For many brides, it’s the availability of the locations they want that will determine the wedding date.
“OK, I GOT A RING AND A DATE. NOW WHAT DO I DO?”
WEDDING PLANNING SCHEDULE: Don’t be hap-hazard about your wedding planning. Try and set-up a daily schedule with which to take care of any wedding planning activities you may have. You will soon discover that wedding planning takes as much time as having a second or part time job. For students or people who work, the time you spend planning will be critical and will have to be productive.

INCLUDE THE GROOM
Venus and Mars. Yep, there may be some conflict here so it’s important to include the groom right from the beginning. Men will often complain when it comes to spending money. The opposite side of this coin is that Woman LOVE TO SHOP. This results in two heads, being better than one! Often, the groom (or bride if the situation is reverse) can raise issues and offer an alternative view of whatever situation presents itself.
BE GOOD TO YOURSELF!!!
As the wedding day approaches, you will find that things will get much more stressful. This is the time when you need to take even better care of yourself by getting some pampering by your local or getaway SPA. Set up weekly message therapy sessions. If you work out, spend more time at the gym. Weeks before the wedding, cut back (or eliminate?) the caffeine, alcohol and nicotine. We’ve spoken to many a bride who did not sleep the night prior to the wedding and many times it was due to consuming too much of the above!

You will be pleasantly surprised at how new, fresh and exciting the ideas we discuss here. We aim to avoid the redundancy of discussing ideas and topics that have already been well covered and well documented in other areas on the Web. Rather, our goal is to break new ground and create new ways of doing things with a fresh perspective on the entire process. This is only possible by listening to the many brides who are sending us their stories. We truly appreciate your input, and hope that by sharing lessons learned, other Brides can benefit.

We received this amazing letter from a couple who are planning a cross country marathon to get married in multiple states. Moreover, this is a same sex, lesbian couple who want the world to know about their love and to embrace the equality of same sex weddings and marriages in every U.S. State. First, let us introduce ourselves. We are Kacey Frierson and Chwanda Nixon. We are a lesbian couple out of Jonesboro, Georgia. We did have a civil union on April 7, 2012, but of course, a civil union is not the same as a marriage. We have decided to embark on a cross country, cross continent journey of love, commitment, and equality. We live in a state where we cannot legally get married. So we have decided to take this show on the road!! 9 SAME-SEX MARRIAGES…8 STATES…2 COUNTRIES..ALL IN 10 DAYS!! This is where we will be making our appearances..lol: Our tentative schedule is: Sunday April 7, 2013 Central Park, New York, NY; Monday April 8, 2013 Stamford, CT; Tuesday April 9, 2013 Kittery Point, ME; Tuesday April 9, 2013 Manchester, NH; Tuesday April 9, 2013 Burlington, VT; Wednesday April 10, 2013 Montreal, QC; Thursday April 11, 2013 Boston, MA; Friday April 12, 2013 Baltimore, MD; Friday April 12, 2013 Washington, DC. You can follow the journey of 2 wonderful women as they and their 7 children take this EPIC cross country, cross continent journey of love, commitment and equality. You can come to any location and show your support, throw some rice…whatever! If you can’t come out (no pun intended) to where we are, you can also show your support by making a donation. Further information can be found on our website www.idomarathon.com. ...
We just received this heartfelt sweepstakes entry from a bride who sounds incredibly sincere and honest and we wanted to share it with you. We urge our preferred vendors [as well as any other vendors for that matter] that are in a position to help this bride, to please do so. If you are able to help this bride, contact us and we will put you in touch with the bride. My Dream Wedding is what i am most intrested in because I feel like this is something, like most girls, have been planning for their entire life. Now that I have the chance to finally be planning the biggest day of my life I am falling way short of funds. This experience is way more expensive then I would have ever thought of it being. The times are tough for alot of people these days, so I am not expecting a huge, glamours, expensive wedding. I have a dress picked out that is around $275.00 and that is being ordered offline, and is made in China. I have a ring picked out at this point that is about $900.00 and that is our most expensive thing so far. We have chose to have our receptions at a Fair Grounds for $300 dollars. Our Ceremony is probably going to take place at a park because its mos likly free. We have a few locations actually picked out that are very pretty and scenic but they are far to expensive for us. The one is $500 just for ceremony and that does not include fee per chair for rental. The other place is a State park that charges per car entering the park. That can really add up for us. We are coming to the conclusion that we just have to make do with what we have. So I am currently posting on Facebook for people to contact me if they have wedding decor for sale, that way I am doing all my own decorations on used items for either free or cheap. I am a girl who is very strict when it comes to orginization, but I feel i have compleatly lost my ability to be organized with this wedding because we only have so much to spend and everything is so spread out. Even a tent rental, cost $1,400 from one place and thats before table and chair rental also. I mean this is suppose to be the most exciting time of my life, and I am more stressed about money, and trying to make sure everything pans out that I havent had a joyful moment YET! I am tired of TRYING to plan this wedding already with the funds we lack that I dont even know if the wedding will happen on time. We chose October 12th of 2013 because myself and my husband to be, have the same birthday. Our birthday is October 13th. Our theroy behind this date is that at Midnight it turns into our Birthday Bash! We never have all our family together for our birthdays so why not now, when we are celebrating our first birthday as a married couple! Well I have alot more to say but I feel like words cant experss what i need to say so I hope...
